BY Funding is proud to welcome Shanchara Marius and Tamara Bell as our 2026 LEE Policy Advisor Fellows.

Shanchara and Tamara are both deeply committed to educational equity and bring meaningful experience in advocacy, community-centered leadership, and student support. Shanchara is an educator and advocate whose work reflects a strong interest in policy, innovation, and expanding access to opportunity for students and families. Tamara is a family and community engagement leader with years of experience supporting students in Title I schools and strengthening partnerships between schools, families, and communities.

Through this opportunity, they will contribute to BY Funding’s policy and partnership work while continuing to grow as leaders in the education and advocacy space.

The LEE Policy Advisor Fellowship is a 10-week, part-time fellowship that equips early-career leaders to support high-impact policy and advocacy work.
